Alacritude to Add Gale Content
Alacritude announced a deal with Thomson Gale to add millions of articles from Gale to eLibrary, which is primarily marketed to individuals. With the addition of Thomson Gale's content, eLibrary provides access to more than 28 million documents from 2,600 sources, going back as far as 20 years. Sources in eLibrary include newspapers, periodicals, newsletters, directories, and transcripts from television and radio stations (including cable television companies).Alacritude is working on a new research engine that it will launch in early 2004, and will be announcing a new company name. The company said the new research engine will make it easy for individual researchers to locate, organize, and deliver answers. The new service will combine tools for searching the Web and proprietary databases such as Gale's. Alacritude also publishes the Encyclopedia.com and Researchville.com sites. Source: Alacritude, LLC
